If you would like to be part of it, sign up here and get the pattern for free before the 1st August 2014! Or if you would prefer not to blog about it, you can get the pattern at Craftsy or Etsy.
Ornella of My Cute Sewing has already made the dress once (you can see it here!) and hopes to make another one when she gets back from her holiday in Greece (lucky thing!).
I would really appreciate your feedback on the pattern. It's important to me that Student Designer patterns are as good as they can be, and that includes the instructions. I want them to be as clear as possible.
Ornella, pointed out that this is a pattern for an “advanced beginner because is required precision and there are many steps to follow (you should add a lining, a double neck, a waistband, etc.)" (from her blog). I put quite a few features into the dress because I wanted to offer good value for money and show you how to sew professionally, using real RTW techniques as often as we can.
What do you think? Would you prefer more patterns with fewer features, or a few patterns with a lot of learning opportunities? Or maybe a few patterns with a lot of learning opportunities, but simpler versions to sew? I will be focusing on women's wear for now because I don't have children. :)
